O problema para mim hoje é a gear ratio das minhas pernas de 40 anos. Com 27 marchas não ando a metade do que andava aos 18 anos com uma marcha.

What would do a bike mechanic without a hammer?

But, see better. The bent is not at the end of the stroke, but in middle, what means the shock did not worked properly. This is a classical hydraulic stop. I would like to know if the shock was serviced before that.

Other option is an improbable giant lateral flex.

Do you notice some bob while using the big chain ring and unlocked rear shock?

The pressure was just the end of the history. What really happened was aluminum fatigue by flexion after many years of use.

If you want, I'll delete it.

I had the red 2001 and the grey 2002. Sure, the best FR fork ever.

The shorter link lower the bb 7 mm and open the head angle from 67,5 to 67. But I don't know if it is an effective difference.

Ok, you get reason. But it is not just a look question. The system really works fine.

I had several full suspensions and this is the better system I've tried. It has excellent behavior. The six inches travel feels like seven or eight because the system utilizes almost all the travel without bottom out. And it doesn't kick back like classical single pivots.

It is a true all around bike. It let me go to XC trails with my buddies and descend the hills almost like my DH bike.

Nice. Interesting this Henry. Here in Brazil we had Darcy Ribeiro. He lived with indians about 8 years. After that he became Minister of Education and wrote several books. He ever had 2 or 3 young wifes in the same home, like an indian. A grand man.

Oh Andreas, Edward Michael would eat that, but I believe he never went to a real forest alone.

A stout bike. The best lateral stiffness ever, but not so good for AM because the seat tube angle is very steep. The geo is like a good corner DH bike, but the bb is a few high. The suspension is enough plush and provides control.

About the quality... well, Merida (UMF) is owner of 51% of Specialized and make their bikes...

For the kids:

This guy just won the Downhill Mountain Bike World Championship ten times, as a junior in 1992, 1993 and 1994 and as main in 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2001 and 2002 (2000 had a flat tire). He also won sixteen World cup Downhill races. The Cup he won five times (1995, 1996, 1998, 1999 and 2000). Avalanche VTT he won in 1994 and 1995.
